What Happens if I Add an Email Address in the Wrong Format?
Posted by Justin Olch on 18 October 2010 03:28 PM

If you try to add an email address that is formatted incorrectly, the system will automatically ignore it during the upload process.

Accidentally including an invalid email address will not disrupt the addition process. The system will skip the invalid address and continue processing the rest of the valid email addresses.

Examples of invalid email addresses:

joe@example

joe@examplecom

joeexample.com

@example.com

joedoe@example .com (note the space in the email address)

Did You Know: You can view a list of all the invalid address that were detected during the adding contacts process from the CONTACTS > ACTIVITY REPORT screen.
